A Reunion of the Bands: It started with John's idea and on April 30, 2005, Gary Robertson and John Marshall of the Moonrakers and Chuck Lashbrooks, Wincel Morris, and Gerald Thompson of the Tang'es joined together to put on a Moonrakers/Tang'es Reunion Concert at the Salem High Class of 1965 Reunion Party at The Covered Bridge Clubhouse in Sellersburg, Indiana.
A Night to Remember: It was a
real night of
oldies and memories. Here at right is the band
and Danny Newby, who is making announcements
about the next reunion. Click on the photo to see a video of the

We Must Be Dreaming: Gary Robertson and Wincel Morris harmonizing on 'Dream' by the Everly Brothers. They did a beautiful job on it. Wincel closed the night with a tender song, 'Holding Things Together', dedicated to his wife, Wanda. She was also a great help in the organizing and communicating behind the scenes for this event. Thanks, Wanda.

Sleepwalking: Chuck Lashbrooks, Gerald Thompson, and John Marshall workin' it out on Sleepwalk Chuck is playing lead on Wincel's beautiful new guitar 'Lucille', a copy of the signature guitar played by the famous blues artist BB King. The success of the night was due in a great part to Chuck's talented support and his equipment. Thank you Chuck! Winging It: Considering that the group had only two practices of about 4 hours total, it sounded pretty good, or so we were told. Thanks for the Memories: Finally, thanks to
Gerald and Wincel for their talent, equipment, and support to make the
group complete and this all possible. |
